Artist, photographer, illustrator.

I’m an artist, photographer, mom and animal lover living in Corrales, NM. I’ve been married to my best friend for 15 years and we have two awesome boys, two goofy Great Danes, two old cats, and 18 chickens. We’re out here living the homestead life dream, with our chickens and gardens and home-brew beer. I love animals and they are also the subjects of a lot of my paintings.

As an artist, I explore nature, the life cycle, and the animal world through color, texture, and a mix of realism and intuitive abstraction. I also do some illustration here and there. I have made figures for geology books (I’m a former geologist) and I play around with creating my own digital art. I have a writing and illustration project forming in my head currently. There are way too many creative ideas floating in my head all the time.

As a wedding and portrait photographer I aspire to emotionally driven, photojournalistic photos with attention to light, color, and composition. At portrait sessions, it’s nearly impossible for you to feel awkward in front of my camera. I’m really good at connecting with you and helping you feel comfortable. I’m also sort of weird and that’s entertaining.

I’m so happy you’re here and I would love to talk with you about commissioning artwork, prints of art and photos, or hiring me to photograph your wedding, and/or portraits.

I am really fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and do what I love. Some days I paint all day, some days I get to photograph people, and some days I draw things for other people. I’m incredibly grateful for everything and for having supportive family and friends who believe in me and my creative pursuits. And thank you, because you’re here and without your support, this wouldn’t be possible.

A photo of me, doing family portraits with my good friends in MT last year on a visit for a wedding, not looking super glamorous, but making a face I probably make a lot.
