Painting Portfolio

Whether it’s painting, running off in the desert with a camera, or photographing people, I love to make art. My educational background is in Art, Geology, and Spanish. I spent a lot of time camping and doing field work in the desert and the mountains as a geologist. During school I spent 5 months living in Oaxaca for an immersive language program, where I was inspired by the vibrant colors in Mexican art.

Now I live in New Mexico, which is beautiful everywhere you look. I'm fascinated by color, texture, and the natural world. Much of my work is inspired by nature and a connection to animals ... rocks and soil, desert textures, and wildlife. I love to photograph dried plants and seed pods, skulls, minerals, and interesting looking sticks. Life cycles and spirals are a common theme as well.

It means so much to me that you're here looking at my art. For information about paintings or prints of either paintings or photographs, please contact me via email at beth@bethwaldronphotography.com.
