I’m an artist, mom and animal lover living in Corrales, NM. I’ve been married to my best friend for 20+ years and we have two awesome boys, three goofy Great Danes, one ancient cat, and 12 chickens.
I paint animals with a mixture of semi-realistic detail and intuitive abstract textures and colors. I experiment with new things all the time.
I also do some illustration here and there. I have made figures for geology books (I’m a former geologist) and I play around with creating my own digital art. I have a writing and illustration project forming in my head currently.
As a person, I throw myself into a lot of things. When we moved to Corrales, I wanted to be a part of the community here so I tried to find places where I could put my foot in the door and not let anyone close it. Haha
I volunteer at On a Wing and a Prayer in Corrales because I love birds (and the wonderful person who runs it), as you can see from my paintings. I’m the interim President of the Corrales Society of Artists. I love Corrales and I’ve made a lot of friends here by tossing myself into things when I think I can help out.

I am really fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and do what I love. I’m incredibly grateful for having supportive family and friends who believe in me and my creative pursuits. And thank you, because you’re here and without your support, this wouldn’t be possible.
A photo of me, doing family portraits with my good friends in MT on a visit for a wedding, not looking super glamorous, but making a face I probably make a lot.
