Energetic and vibrant art, inspired by my connection to animals and nature. It has been some time since I realized I was painting what I feel instead of what you see with your eyes. People have told me they feel the spirit and personality of the animals in my paintings and that they give them joy, which is the best compliment. Giving joy is the goal.

My educational background is in Art (I was actually a sculpture major), Geology, Spanish, and Reiki. I spent a lot of time camping and doing field work in the desert and the mountains as a geologist. During school I spent 5 months living in Oaxaca for an immersive language program, where I was inspired by the vibrant colors in Mexican art. I have since completed reiki master training. I work on myself, animals, and sometimes other people.

I live in New Mexico, which is beautiful everywhere you look. I'm fascinated by color, texture, and the natural world. I volunteer once a week at the local Corrales wild bird rehab, On a Wing and a Prayer. We help injured birds and house birds trained for education programs. They help teach people about raptors and corvids at events and school programs. The birds are also good models.

My paintings are inspired by color, joy, and a spiritual connection to animals and nature, with a grounded understanding of the science of how the world works.
